Just a small family business

We're a husband and wife team who first started a very small metal art business in 2016 "Colorwithfire metal art & Design" just to help make ends meet with a love and passion for creating new and beautiful things.

Over time we developed a few products. We didn't feel selling under Colorwithfire was the most appropriate way to proceed so we branched off and created TRW Industries in 2021 to sell products, parts and training

The year 2021 was a key year for starting TRW industries due to the fact the real TRW, Thomas Ray Watson or better known as Ray Watson, was born 100 years before June of 1921. This was also my grandfather

He was raised in a very poor share cropping family picking cotton in rural Tennessee. They were so poor he didn't have shoes till he was 8 years old and was only able to receive an 8th grade education.

At 16 years old he joined the Army where he served for a couple of years. Not long after discharge from the Army, Pearl Harbor happened and WWII broke out. Therefore, he reenlisted in the Navy for a year but due to the war spent the next 3 years in active duty service before discharge.

After the War he and my grandmother moved to the picturesque Pacific Northwest where my grandfather worked in the sawmills eventually retiring from Weyerhauser as a saw filer.

I was lucky enough to spend lots of time with my grandfather growing up building things, fishing, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors on the Oregon coast
